The Citizens of Rural Coweta recently successfully filed a petition of Home Rule with the Probate Court, submitting their 14,800 signatures in a monumental step for the future of community autonomy in our country. This petition took 9 months to complete and came at the expense of tireless volunteers, all of whom deserve a giant pat on the back. Now, we wait on a decision to create a binding referendum. I'm invested in this local issue because Congress is dropping the ball on federal regulation.
